The Raintree™ Pre Carbon filter reduces contaminants by means of adsorption. Particles in the water adhere to the surface of the filter material, trapping impurities such as chlorine, VOC’s, bad taste and odor. 

The Pre Carbon filter protects and extends the life of the Ultrafilter (UF) Membrane or the Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane downstream.

• Standard filter replacement ~ 6-12 months

• Filter lifespan varies depending on usage and source water quality

• If source water is high in chlorine or sediment, the Pre-Filters  (Sediment+Carbon and Pre Carbon) should be replaced ~ 6 months

• For use only with potable municipal water supply
