The Raintree™ Pre Carbon filter removes contaminants by means of adsorption. Particles in the water adhere to the surface of the filter material, trapping impurities such as chlorine, VOC’s, bad taste and odor. 

The Pre Carbon filter also serves the important purpose of protecting and extending the life of the UltraFilter (UF) Membrane or the Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane that follows.
