  • A 12” inline, i-type Sediment filter. It is a white filter with dark blue label. The brand is RainTree. The label includes NSF and CE logos, a description of what the filter does and the specs. The filter has a 1/4” male port on each end. The male ports accept a standard 1/4” push fitting to make a connection with 1/4” poly tubing. Note: The push fittings and poly tubing are not included with this filter and are not shown in the image.

    1 - Sediment Filter

    10 micron polypropylene sediment filter works like a strainer, capturing suspended particles such as sand, silt, rust, dirt, pipe residue and other unwanted debris. The Sediment filter’s primary functions are to clarify the water and extend the life of the carbon filters and membranes downstream.

    2 - Pre Carbon Filter

    Granular Activated Carbon filter uses a process called adsorption. Contaminants are attracted and adhere to the carbon material like velcro. This filter removes an abundance of impurities from the water, including chlorine, VOCs, THMs, and bad taste and odor. The Pre Carbon filter also protects and extends the life of the Ultrafilter Membrane.

    3 - Reverse Osmosis Membrane Filter

    A semi-permeable membrane where only water molecules are able to pass through. The pores in the membrane are so small, they can trap impurities as tiny as 0.0001 micron. This includes all dissolved solids (TDS) such as salt, trace minerals, ions, fluoride and microplastics. Reverse Osmosis filtration is used when removing everything from the water is desired.

    5 - Alkaline Mineral Filter

    Similar to a TCR filter, the Alkaline Mineral Filter uses Carbon Block technology.

    The Alkaline Mineral Filter, however, has added functional ceramic balls to enhance the water with beneficial trace minerals and slightly increase the pH, making the water more alkaline.
