Filter Details
Sediment+Carbon Filter
Carbon Block has been added for even better filtration.
The first stage effectively captures particles such as sand, silt, rust, dust, dirt, and pipe residue.
The second stage is a carbon block which removes chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), trihalomethanes (THMs), and other harmful substances.
The large surface area of the carbon block slows water flow, increasing contact time with the filtration media for improved contaminant removal. Additionally, this filter helps protect and extend the lifespan of downstream filters, ensuring long-lasting performance.
Pre Carbon Filter
Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filter uses a process called adsorption. Contaminants are attracted and adhere to the carbon material like velcro. This filter removes an abundance of impurities from the water, including chlorine, VOCs, THMs, and bad taste and odor. The Pre Carbon filter also protects and extends the life of the Ultrafilter or Reverse Osmosis Membrane.
Post Carbon Filter
20x40 mesh Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filter works as a "polishing" filter, improving taste and odor.
In a 4-filter set, the Post Carbon filter can be used as an alternative to the Alkaline Mineral Filter.
In a 5-filter set, the Post Carbon filter is used as the 4th filter in the series.
Ultra Filter Membrane
The Ultrafilter is a semi-permeable membrane that works by physically trapping suspended particles as small as 0.01 micron. Some of these particles include microplastics, bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi and Protozoa to name a few. One of the benefits of UF filtration, in addition to its excellent contaminant removal, is the retention of beneficial trace minerals and fluoride in your drinking water.
Reverse Osmosis Membrane
A semi-permeable membrane where only water molecules are able to pass through. The pores in the membrane are so small, they can trap impurities as tiny as 0.0001 micron. This includes all dissolved solids (TDS) such as salt, trace minerals, ions, fluoride and microplastics. Reverse Osmosis filtration is used when removing everything from the water is desired.
Alkaline Mineral Filter
Similar to a TCR filter, the Alkaline Mineral Filter uses Carbon Block technology.
The Alkaline Mineral Filter, however, also has added functional ceramic balls to enhance the water with beneficial trace minerals and slightly increase the pH, making the water a bit more alkaline.
The Alkaline Mineral Filter will not alter the taste of the water.
